This book is more than a wake-up call, Of Faith and Freedom is an altar call to this nation and one that has been long overdue!
Of Faith and Freedom is written in a clear, easy to read format that is engaging yet easily understood. Concepts are well outlined and defended, with many examples cited. The text provokes thought and stimulates opinion rather than telling you what to think. Faith and Freedom is an outline of the history of social thought in America and the leading powers that shape that philosophy against our cultural traditions and in support of their own social and political agendas. Joe outlines how traditional Americanism is the key to the survival of our way of life today. A great read from an Army Intelligence veteran who has personally seen oppression around the world during his 24 years in the U.S. Army. A must read.
The book is an examination of the role of faith in America’s founding. It is because of the faith of our Founding Fathers who held that it was “self-evident all men are created equal endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights and among those are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” It is the fact that all of us are created by God that made us all equal. It is because we are all created by God that we have rights. We then created government to serve us and perform a certain and limited list of specific functions on our behalf.
That entire belief system is under attack. If successful, we will be stripped of not only our rights, but our entire instrinsic value endowed upon us by God. Then we do become servants of an omnipotent State.
I reference philosophers from the ancient Greeks to our Founding Fathers to modern day Supreme Court decisions an much more.
